TWICE will release their 10th mini album, “Taste of Love”, on June 11th. “Taste of Love” allows the audience to enjoy the special summer of TWICE who have fallen in love. It is at the center of domestic and international fans’ attention as it is a comeback about 8 months after “Eyes Wide Open”, the second regular album, and it is the first album of 2021. TWICE challenged the synthwave genre that combined European electronic sound and 80’s American synth sound with “I CAN’T STOP ME”, the previous title track, and TWICE has digested a new genre of music with “Alcohol-Free” that combines Bossa Nova and hip-hop. “Alcohol-Free”, the title track, is a summer dance song that depicts the magical moment of falling in love that brightens the world. It adds a trendy hip-hop sound to the sound of the nylon guitar and percussion that reminds you of the beaches in South America. The chorus lyrics increase the fun of listening by containing the names of sweet wines and cocktails. Jin-young Park, the representative producer of JYP Entertainment, was in charge of writing, composing, and arranging, whereas composer Hae Sol Lee participated in the arrangement to enhance the quality of the song. The music video is proud of the rich and diverse attractions by describing the appearance of TWICE with various video transitions and colors. The process of making a cocktail by putting everything of a loved one and the fantastic scenes of watching and drinking it effectively deliver the gradually uplifting feeling of getting drunk in love. In particular, the performance that adds trendy to the Latin movement makes the song more exciting. “Taste of Love” presents fascinating recreation to listeners by depicting the romantic atmosphere and the moment of falling in love throughout the album. The new album includes 7 songs, which are “First Time”, “Scandal”, “Conversation”, “Baby Blue Love”, “SOS”, and “CRY FOR ME”, an English version of the digital single released in December of last year, in addition to the title track. Starting with Jin-young Park, nationally and internationally renowned artists – such as Melanie Joy Fontana (hit song maker), Jade Thirlwall (a member of global girl group Little Mix), Chloe Latimer (who contributed to “SHADOW” and “STRAWBERRY” of TWICE, “Celebrity” of IU, “Dolphin” of OH MY GIRL, etc.), and Hyun Do Lee (a member of “Deuce” and produced many hit songs) - participated in this album.
